Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (room temp!)
  • 1 cup butter (room temp!)
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl (oats, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon).
  3. Place butter in a metal bowl and let it slowly melt in the oven. Remove and let it cool for a few minutes.
  4. Add both sugars, vanilla, honey, and cream cheese to the melted butter. Mix together on low with a hand mixer until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Add in both eggs to the wet mixture and whisk until incorporated.
  6. Add your wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Place the dough in the freezer for 20 mins allowing it to set.
  8. On a greased or lined baking sheet use a spoon or small scoop and place the cookies. Each batch will make two dozen.
  9. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Pull them out once the edges start to turn a golden brown.
  10. Allow them to rest on the baking sheet for another five minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
